The Hamburg shipping company Baltrader and United Bulk Carriers (UBC) from Philadelphia want to market their cement carriers jointly in the future. To this end, the two companies launched the "Cement Carrier Alliance" (CCA) today, Monday.
The aim of the cooperation is to offer existing and new customers a wider range of ship sizes and at the same time improve marketing in existing and developing markets. The fleet of the new alliance reportedly consists of 15 cement carriers with deadweight weights (dwat) between 3,000 and 15,000 tonnes. Baltrader and United Bulk Carriers (Hartmann Group) will remain independent companies, each operating from their own offices. The "Cement Carrier Alliance" is represented by the UBC office in Philadelphia and the Baltrader office in Hamburg.
